After quilting for a while doing traditionally pieced blocks with straight 1/4 inch seams, I thought it may be time to start building up skills I don't have, like applique or EPP. For this purpose, I have joined a quilt club called The Thread House Club 2021/22, to make a quilt called Free Bird Quilt. They provide us with monthly patterns to complete a couple of blocks of the quilt and in the end, after a year of patterns and collaboration, we end up with a quilt that looks roughly as follows:
